Okay, I know this is a super random picture. These are my excuses for making it:

1. I am a huge fan of MG Comics [link] especially Lyger and Khran's "WTF?!" series, occasionally illustrated by the super-talented Juana (hence the three-way gift ). I worried I would explode if I didn't make at least one fanart of that fancomic (sad, isn't it ?)
2. I'm learning to use Photoshop, and this seemed like the perfect practice.
3. Dragons are badass. And Kryon is sure as hell scary-looking. That is all.

If you think you can guess who that dragon is, you will probably be surprised. No - it's not Shadow, although I am working on a design for that. That would be Raike, the former terrorist turned good. He's got to be one of my favorite characters - his absolute straightforward disdain for all things yellow, fuzzy and two-tailed makes me laugh every time!

Why did I make him a dragon? Because three out the four surviving members of his family have some sort of dragon ability (mostly wings, but I think their bloodline might also contribute to their strength with Mana energy attacks), and he doesn't! Lyger doesn't either, but he has much more experience and power, so I thought this would be more fair. I figured that, should Raike ever get pissed off enough, THIS would be his trump card.

And yes, I know he lost an arm. I'm the artist, and I say he has all four limbs, so your argument is invalid >:I.

Kryon, well, he's the villain. I didn't have much to work with for his frame and stance, because the only existing detailed picture of him that I know of is in Lyger's WTF character profiles on MG, and it cuts off at the torso. I kinda had to BS his feet and hands, but I really did enjoy doing it . For one thing, nothing says "I'm going to rip out your entrails and dice them into bouilloin cubes" like razor-blade fingers and feet with sickle-claws. His elbows? Ehh... I just used my creative license for that. I'm not good at joints, so I just made the bony frame project past his elbow like another weapon .

The background is my pride and joy. That was my first attempt ever at lightning. And the clouds came out just like I wanted! The cliff is awesome, too - it looks like it rained, which was what I was going for, considering they're duking it out in the middle of a storm. I can't do a rainy effect, though - I'm not that good yet .
