Mobian Victini - Origins p26

Shadow had left Victini for a simple reason – he knew where she was coming from. All she wanted was some time to herself, to train and think about things away from the overbearing watch of Sonic and Sally. He had experienced these feelings himself, although far more concentrated. He felt no inclination to tell Sally of Victini's whereabouts – it was clear that she didn't want to be found, and she would return to Knothole eventually. After all, she had nowhere else to go.

As soon as he reentered the main clearing, Shadow saw Sally and Sonic talking, looking very concerned. The blue hedgehog's green eyes shot up to meet the approach of his darker comrade, and Sonic immediately zipped over to stand in front of Shadow. Shadow took a step back in distaste for the hedgehog's annoyingly close proximity.

"Shads! Sal told me you went to look for 'Tini. Any luck?"

"No."

Sonic snapped his finger. "Dangit. Where could she have gone?"

"Somewhere she doesn't want you to follow."

Sonic froze. His eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Explain that, please."

"I couldn't find her, and neither could you, even though you had pursued her as soon as she left the hut. It seems to me that she does not want to be found."

Sonic clenched his fists.

Sally sighed. "This is bad. I hope she hasn't deserted us."

Shadow turned to Sally, arms folded and pointedly ignoring the bristling Sonic. "I wouldn't concern myself with such a possibility. Where would she go? She hates Robotnik, and knows nothing of the world outside this village. A little street smarts of the forest isn't going to help her much beyond the borders of Knothole. Mark my words, she will come back."

Sonic threw his hands up in the air and stalked off.

Sally frowned. "…All right, if you're sure, Shadow. I just don't want her to get captured. I hate to think what danger she would be in if Robotnik managed to trap her again."

"Trust me – I don't think even Robotnik would dare tangle with her right now."

Sally looked at him, confused. She glanced in the direction where Sonic had run off, then back at Shadow. He could see the cogs turning in her head, trying to piece together his puzzling statements.

Shadow left before she could figure out that he had lied to Sonic about not knowing anything.

Fire everywhere.

Burning.

Everyone.

Everything he knew, loved.

It was all turning to ash around him.

His people. His home. His friends. His family.

His parents were nowhere to be found. Pygmies were running, screaming in panic.

The huts were collapsing in flames. Embers danced on the wind.

The trees were catching, and spreading, the fire. The fire leapt from the trees between the huts of his village.

His hut.

His brother.

He was still inside.

He could hear his little voice, crying for him.

He ran to the hut, reached through the window to grasp his tiny outstretched hand.

Need Motivation...

Someone call the Writer's Block Brigade and bring me a pickaxe - I need to dig my way out from under this ten-ton weight.

I'm sorry I haven't written or submitted anything for a long, long time.

I want to continue my writing. I really do! I love my story concepts, and I want them to grow. I just... can't seem to figure out what to write. I lack the drive I once had. I procrastinate, stare at the screen blankly, or simply throw up my hands and start playing my month-old Minecraft account. I need motivation, gawd dammit.

I don't care if it's a picture of a freakin' motivational poster - anything would help.

If anyone's reading this, could you tell me which series you want continued the most? I won't be deleting or discontinuing anything just yet - no way in the Nether is that gonna happen any time soon - but if there's one or two series people prefer over the others, I would make those series my priorities and work chiefly on those, as best I can.

My current series: Mobian Victini (Origins), Humble Beginnings (A New Friend), Pocket God (Arrival of Ooga)

I have been debating making new series involving Minecraft, since it's new to me and I love it.

Cypher, I just want you to know - if I do write a fanfiction for Minecraft, it's your fault for protesting at school >:]

Oh, hello - I didn't see you there. The name's Mysticfeather, but you can call me Mystic. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

You are curious about me? Very well. I am, what I prefer to call, a 'Victax' - a Lombax/Victini hybrid. Or 'Victinax'; I truly don't care.

I currently reside on Mobius, a relatively unknown planet somewhere in the Verdigris Sector of the Polaris Galaxy, a parallel universe of the Milky Way Galaxy. (Quite a mouthful, I must say.) I consider this planet my home, although my birth planet is Fastoon, a technological metropolis that now lies in ruin.

How I came to be a Mobian resident is a complex story all its own, and I'd rather not recount it here. If you're curious, in time I will post my tale.

I am a dimension traveller (although, I must admit, I haven't done it willingly), a bounty hunter, and a Polaris weapons expert. My personal favorites are the Alpha Cannon, Razor Claws, and RYNO V. Don't worry - while deadly, they are strictly reserved for art thieves *polishes Razor Claws* In my spare time, I am a freelance artist and author, my specialties being Pokemon, Sonic the Hedgehog (a good friend of mine), and the Lombax race.
